United Community Bank Ice on Main | A beloved staple of Greenville’s Holiday Happenings, this open-air rink is right in the heart of downtown. Ice on Main is on Village Green, next to City Hall. Nov 14 – Jan 16.
2022 Indie Craft Parade Holiday Pop-Up Shop | This temporary retail shop is open for seven weekends, with a curated mix of giftable goods. Choose from a unique selection of handmade art, home décor, jewelry, and children’s items! 2909 Old Buncombe Rd. Nov 4 – Dec 18. Fri-Sun, 11-5 pm.
Night of Lights | Spend a festive evening around the lovely 30-foot Christmas Tree, strung with over 25,000 lights. Greenville’s official tree lighting event is located on Main Street at the intersection of Court & Main. Dec 2, 6 pm.
77th Annual Poinsettia Christmas Parade | Signaling the official kick-off of Greenville’s Christmas season, the Poinsettia parade attracts thousands of visitors annually. The parade will stretch along Main Street, from Augusta to North Street, with holiday floats, music, and activities. Dec 3, 6 pm.
Travelers Rest Holiday Pop | Welcome the holiday season in adorable Downtown TR! Expect family-friendly activities like snowball fights, free photos with Santa, giant games, a tree-lighting ceremony, free Christmas crafts, carriage rides, festive music, and more! Nov 26, 3 – 7 pm.
Holidays at the Zoo | The Greenville Zoo’s 2nd year of this annual tradition will immerse you in holiday cheer, twinkling lights, and music. Visit during the day to view your favorite animals and holiday decorations. Visit at night to view the mesmerizing light displays and the Logos Theatre’s Holiday Village. Dec 10 – Dec 30, 3 – 8 pm. Closed Dec 24 & 25.
Kringle Holiday Village | Taking place at Fluor Field, the Rotary Club of Greenville presents this family-friendly winter experience with something for everyone. Children can marvel at the performers, stroll down Kinder Lane, or catch a ride to Santa’s Haus on the Kinder Express. There will be live music, international food (think brats), and Gluhwein (beer). Dec 9 – 11.
The Cook’s Station Holiday Open House | This annual event is a fun way to head into the holiday season. With Grinch Mimosas and drink specials, food samples, and fantastic holiday sales running all day, there’s something in it for everyone! Located at 515 Buncombe St. Nov 13, 10 am – 5 pm.
Camperdown Plaza Annual Holiday Market | Kicking off a new tradition, Camperdown Plaza will host 30+ local vendors for this event. It’s a great way to shop local while enjoying live music and an adult drink. 20 E. Broad St. Nov 20, 1 – 4:30 pm.
Indie Craft Parade Mini Markets | Hosted in conjunction with the Holiday Pop Up above, Maker’s Co presents three outdoor holiday Mini Markets. Each market hosts over 25 makers, making this the perfect opportunity to purchase directly from the artists. 2909 Old Buncombe Road. Nov 19, Dec 3 & Dec 10; 10 am – 3 pm.

GVL Craft Beer Fest | Music, food, and BEER! The upstate’s premier craft beer festival returns to Fluor Field for its 9th year on Saturday, November 5.

Boo in the Zoo | There’s just one weekend left of GVL’s annual family-friendly Halloween event. Dress up the crew and head to the Greenville Zoo for a spooktacular night of trick-or-treating and fun. Tickets on sale here.
Pumpkin Smash at Unity Park | Atlas Organics and Unity Park have partnered to bring fun to sustainability this season! If you’re in a drivable area, pack your pumpkins so you can smash them. It’s fun and better for the environment. Saturday, November 5, 10 am – 12 pm.
Reedy Rides Bike Rentals & Tours | It’s fall, which is hands-down our favorite time for bike rides. Reedy Rides offers a superb selection of rental bikes and e-assist bikes, and their tours of the Swamp Rabbit Trail are the perfect way to see GVL & the foliage. *StayGVL guests receive a discount on Reedy Rides bike rentals & tours!
Everything Outdoor Fest | A 3-day festival at Historic Hopkins Farm in Simpsonville showcasing outdoor activities and equipment. Whether you want to purchase gear or expand your knowledge, this event is perfect for families and all outdoor enthusiasts. November 4-6.
Ice on Main | One of our favorite annual holiday traditions, Ice on Main, opens November 11 in the heart of Downtown Greenville. An open-air ice skating sesh is the perfect way to rink in the holiday season!

Fall for Greenville | There’s a reason this is the Southeast’s most popular outdoor festival! Venture down Main Street to enjoy various beer and wine options, tastes from over 40 restaurants, and free live music on six stages. The Kids’ Area is perfect for little ones, making Fall for Greenville a can’t-miss for the whole family! October 13-16.

Apple Fest Season Finale | Celebrate the end of summer and apple harvest with all things apple at the TR Farmers Market Season Finale. We’re talking about apple skincare, baked apple goods, apple beverages, and more! We’ll be there for the caramel apples on September 17 at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, from 12:30 – 4pm.
Saluda Outdoor Center | It’s tubing season, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than by floating down the Saluda River! 13 Stripes Brewery also opened their second location, the River Lodge, on-site last summer.
Reedy Rides Bike Tours | With fall coming up, consider taking the scenic route! Reedy Rides’ tours of the Swamp Rabbit Trail are the perfect way to see Greenville and the foliage. Back Again
The best beginning to your long weekend, PNG Downtown Alive is back starting Thursday, March 17! Featuring two band sets, this weekly event is a favorite among over 45,000 people annually.
Say sayonara to your workweek with Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays! Starting March 18, this weekly music series takes place on Main Street at Noma Square. +Both evenings are free to attend!
Our Recent Favorites
Comal 864 is mouth-wateringly good every time. What started as a pop-up at breweries and events has quickly become one of GVL’s favorite spots. We love anything birria.
Bar Margaret never, ever disappoints. The added fun decor and inventive cocktails make this place top-notch. We’ve been loving the Club Margaret and Damn Good Burger.
